Injection moulding
Goal: Create the individual plastic toy parts from PPCP Granules material and mixing the master the batch.
Process:
• Load PPCP granules into the hopper of the injection moulding machine.
• The granules are melted in the heated barrel.
• The molten PPCP is injected into the mould cavities that have the shape of toy parts (like body, arms, legs, wheels, etc.).
• The mould is cooled (using water channels) until the plastic solidifies.
• Finished parts are ejected from the mould.
Pad Printing
Goal: Add colourful details, logos, eyes, designs, or patterns to the toy parts.
Process:
• Place the solid toy parts on the printing table.
• Use a silicone pad to pick up ink from an etched cliché (printing plate) with the desired design.
• The pad presses the ink onto the curved or flat surfaces of the toy parts.
• The ink dries and becomes permanent.
Assembling Toys
Goal: Combine all printed parts into the final toy.
Process:
• Match and fit parts together using screws, snaps, ultrasonic welding, or adhesives.
• Insert small metal or plastic parts (e.g., axles for wheels).
• Check the movement of parts (e.g., movable arms, spinning wheels).
• Perform quality checks for safety and finish.
